Job Title: Surgery Coordinator

Wage: $22.00 per hour

Location: Pomona, CA

Shift: Mon - Fri: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

In this critical role, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department. You'll be the primary point of contact for scheduling all surgical procedures, coordinating with physicians and their staff to ensure a seamless experience for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the surgical schedule for the operating room (OR).
• Utilize a computer scheduling system and database to schedule surgical procedures.
• Maintain the OR schedule and physician book, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Schedule and confirm surgical procedures with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons' offices to coordinate pre-operative clearances and consultations.
• Track and manage surgery cancellations and rescheduling.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating and managing a computer scheduling system and database.
• Ability to utilize proper telephone etiquette and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with physicians and their office staff.
• A high level of organization and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• A positive and professional demeanor.
• Experience with Medical Records systems (preferred)
